TFNew is a European competitive 6v6 TF2 event intended to help players new to competitive TF2 learn the basics and prepare them for league play. You don't need a team to participate, simply sign up as an individual (or with 1 friend) and you'll be drafted onto a team by their Staff when the sign-ups are done. You'll then spend the next week and a half receiving coaching sessions and playing scrims (practice games) with other teams. When the preparation period is over, you'll participate in Cup #5 and have a chance to prove yourself as an up-and-coming TF2 talent!
Rewards include in-game medals as well as entries into a raffle of TF2 items! There's also a chance your matches will be featured on Twitch! To participate, join the Discord server where you can find a lot more information as well as instructions on how to sign up.
Tell Scout to bring his best running shoes and Engineer to get out of his favorite chair because it's time for another season of Cap That Cup!
CTC is a competitive league that uses CTF as a competitive format. After a successful first season they're back with new rules, new maps, new settings and a brand new charity twist for all the philanthropic people who feel bad about always taking other people's stuff!
You can sign-up here. As for the cup itself:
For more information, interaction, news, or questions you can visit their Discord server.
The charity being supported is the Pink Ribbon Foundation. An in-game medal will be given to anyone who donates €5 or more and adds their SteamID to their donation message. The charity page can be found here and will be active from the 14th to the 28th of October.
Happy plundering to all!

The ultimate place of competitive pandemonium has returned! The place where you can show off your mad skillets! The one and only: Ready, Steady, Pan!
Ready Steady Pan is a semi-competitive league involving the frying pan as the only damage dealing weapon allowed. As both a fun (and loud) format, and a way of introducing players to the 6v6 format and mindset, the basic requirement is for every player to have a Frying Pan equipped. Classes that cannot equip the pan are banned, i.e. Engineer and Spy, alongside Heavy and Medic for their high health and health regeneration abilities respectively.
You can find several links such as rules, help articles, and the map schedule on their website, pan.tf. You can also join their Discord server at discord.pan.tf.
Signups for Season 5 started September 27th, and the season officially starts October 21st!

On the evening of Thursday, July 25th, a bug was introduced that allowed some older crates to grant an Unusual hat on every opening. We fixed the bug the following morning and decided to trade-lock the hats from the bugged crates while we evaluated the situation.
Over the past week, we have been discussing ways to address this situation with the goal of minimizing the impact on the TF2 community as a whole, while preserving the experience of customers who had simply opened a crate, made a trade, or purchased from the market on the 25th, unaware that a bug produced their item.
During our investigation we discovered that a small number of accounts acquired these hats and a smaller portion of those accounts acquired an exceedingly large number of them. Based on this, we've decided that if you currently own one of these Unusual hats, the first one added to your account will be made tradable. Any other Unusual you have received due to the bug will remain permanently trade locked. If you decide that you would rather not have these trade-locked hats on your account, you may instead elect a full refund on any number of them.
The number of Unusual items being made tradable represents about one month of the regular Unusual drop rate.
A few of you were concerned that you had done something wrong by opening a bugged crate, and proceeded to delete your hats. While we appreciate the concern, you didn't do anything wrong, so hats from bugged crates deleted before the tradable date will be restored to your accounts with the same restrictions described above.
Item tradability, restoration, and the refund support page will be made available in about a week's time. Refunds will be the full price paid for any hats, crates or keys bought on the Steam Community Market or Mann Co. store. We will post an update when that exact date becomes available.
We apologize for the inconvenience of this incident, and we’ve added safeguards to prevent incidents like this in the future.
Update Aug 16: One unusual per account has been made tradable as described above. Affected users should visit the following support page for information about affected items and to submit refund requests if eligible: https://help.steampowered.com/en/wizard/HelpWithItemBug

The largest competitive League in North America is about to get a bit bigger. The longest running format in competitive TF2 history will have a new home this Summer. RGL.gg is starting up a traditional 6v6 on July 23rd. We are happy to announce that we are expecting a prize pool of $8,000 and already have a starting Invite team list of Froyotech, Ascent, Ford Gaming, Kings Crew, Dunk Masters, and more...
But don't worry, you don't have to play against Froyotech. We are expecting to have 5-6 divisions based on skill. So everyone can play in a match which is fair and competitive. Doesn't matter if you're brand new to competitive TF2 or a seasoned veteran. Everyone has a place in our league!
For players who are playing in our Open division (players who are newer to comp), that division is completely free to play! For all of the divisions above, they all will have a prize pool with a reasonable division entry fee. You can find more information about that on our registration page. Open will play once a week on Wednesday nights and most other divisions will play twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
If you need help finding a team, go to our registration page and click on the tab "Need help finding a team?" for information on how to find a team to play with.

Forget your scrims, forget your homework, this is what you need to be doing this Sunday night! The Sixth season of Prolander will be concluding Sunday night at 9:30pm Eastern. Cat Noises is the current reigning champions of Prolander from Season five, but Froyotech is back and looking to have the crown return to their head again. These teams met earlier in the season on borneo in, arguably, one of the best regular season matches in tf2 history. (You can watch it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z3rIyROpzgE)
Every round was so competitive and close, with victories, at times, coming in the last moments of the game. This was the first time that a Froyotech team was defeated, ever, in a Prolander match. However, this is not a one map series. Cat Noises will need to win two of the three maps to be able to keep their spot on the top. That'll be a tall order with how well Froyotech, lead by b4nny, adjusts their gameplay mid-series. During the semi-finals this season, Froyotech lost the first map against Prevail in a tightly contested 2-3 match. However, in the following maps Froyotech dominated Prevail on Ashville and Upward.
So that is the question that will be asked this Sunday. Will Froyotech continue their streak of having never lost a Grand Finals in Prolander? Or will Cat Noises be able to gain another victory over Froyotech to win in back to back seasons?
Find out this Sunday at 9:30 pm Eastern on http://twitch.tv/RGLgg
You can also subscribe to our youtube channel to watch the VOD if you cannot see the match live.

What better way to deal with the summer heat than getting some cool frags on the TF2 battlefield?! The third season of the $1,000 RGL Highlander league is here. Join the largest single competitive league in North America today! Highlander is a format of 9v9 playing on your favorite map types: Payload and KOTH. Class limit is one, meaning that every class will be on the battlefield at all times.
They have divisions for every skill level! It doesn't matter if it's your first season or your 20th. There is a division for players of your experience. RGL is about promoting a healthy community. This is done through taking a strong stance against toxicity and against players smurfing in lower divisions. They try to create a fun and fair environment for players to enjoy themselves against competition of their skill level.
The season starts on Monday, May 27th. All divisions outside of the highest one are free to play.
